Trauma often feels like…
Vivid images that are “stuck” in your head. Sometimes you feel like the event is happening again. Unresolved trauma can manifest as chronic illness, body aches, sleep disturbances, an inability to lose weight.
Explosive emotional reactions or feeling numb can impact your relationships. You may have a fear of people leaving you. Hypervigilance, trouble concentrating, negative beliefs about yourself - all may be symptoms of unresolved trauma.
Symptoms can go on much longer after the traumatic event has ended – sometimes for years.
How I Can Help…
I will provide a safe space for you and your body to heal from painful memories, feelings and negative self beliefs. Through mindfulness, self compassion and self understanding you will care for the parts of you that need to feel safe and release the pain that they have carried for so long.
